    The New 2022 SAAGNY Awards Program is designed to identify and recognize publicly those individuals and companies who have contributed most to the SAAGNY community and promotional products industry. 

    Why Recognize? Recognition is one of the most powerful means of:

    • thanking volunteers for their efforts in regards to SAAGNY
    • motivating individuals to higher levels of achievement
    • giving a sense of belonging to something important
    • establishing those in the SAAGNY community as a valuable entity.

    All New Categories

    SAAGNY Person of the Year 
    • To honor an outgoing board member, volunteer, and/or anyone who has made a significant contribution and encouraged others to do the same in the SAAGNY community. 

    Company Recognition

    • SAAGNY Loyalty Member of the Year Award – to be awarded to a company that has engaged in the SAAGNY community promoting and supporting its events and programs.
    • The SAAGNY Foundation Above and Beyond Award – to be awarded to a company that has engaged in The SAAGNY Foundation community promoting and supporting its mission.
    • SAAGNY Sponsor of the Year Award – to be awarded to a company that is always willing to sponsor or provide gift in kind. The recipient of this award to be awarded free sponsorship opportunity for the following year.
    • SAAGNY Innovator of the Year Award – to be awarded to a company that shows advancements in its products design, use of/introduction of technology, and/or ability to be on the forefront of trends.

    Company or Individual Recognition

    • SAAGNY Influencer of the Year Award – to be awarded to a company or individual whose social media channels tell the story of promotional products and presents a coordinated marketing/public relations message that has actively engaged with SAAGNY.
    • Wow MWBE Award – to be awarded to a company or individual who is recognizing the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion within their own organization.
    • Project of the Year – to be awarded to a company or individual who had the most innovative campaign utilizing promotional products.

    Individual Recognition

    • Duct Tape Award  to be awarded to a Customer Service Professional who’s able to fix anything for his/her customers and is known as the customer whisperer.
    • Rising Star  to be awarded to an individual in the promotional products industry five years or less who have already made significant contributions to the industry, SAAGNY, and/or his or her company.
    • Rockstar ROOKIE of the Year  – to be awarded to an individual in the industry one year or less who is already a natural.
    • SAAGNY Believer  An individual who has completed and/or participated in five or more SAAGNY webinars and/or events.
    • Mission Impossible Award  to be awarded to an individual sales rep who went above and beyond and is considered a rock star.
    • SAAGNY Constant Contributor Award – to be awarded to an individual who has gone above and beyond volunteering for SAAGNY and/or The SAAGNY Foundation.

      Please click below to make your nominations.  Nominations can be made by the  general SAAGNY community.  The recipient(s) of awards to be decided by a panel established by the Awards Committee Chair, to include his or her peers within promotional products industries. All entries to be blinded to panel.

    A trade association is an organization founded and operated by businesses in a specific field, such as NEPPA, PAPPA, TRASA, VAPPA, CPPA, or SAAGNY. Trade associations are sometimes local or regional, focusing on the industry issues affecting a particular region. For instance, all of the above trade associations focus on a particular region.


    When you work in an industry like promotional products, you need a reliable way to make and maintain contacts, keep yourself up to date on the latest news and developments, and build your business’s reputation in the industry and the local community. Joining NEPPA, PAPPA, TRASA, VAPPA, CPPA, or SAAGNY is an excellent way to accomplish all those goals.     The Specialty Advertising Association of Greater New York (SAAGNY) has grown to be the largest regional Promotional Products association in the country. Our growth would not have been possible without the visionary planning and untiring efforts of a few outstanding leaders.

    The SAAGNY Hall of Fame recognizes the extraordinary achievements of these leaders who have contributed to our success. This is your opportunity to help choose the next recipient of this prestigious honor. When making your selection, please keep in mind the criteria outlined in the application below:

    SAAGNY Pioneers

    SAAGNY Pioneers are defined as individuals previously employed by member companies who are no longer active in our region or business and served AMASS or SAAGNY prior to 1989.  Pioneers will be voted on via a separate nomination from the regular Hall of Fame.  Anyone that served SAAGNY from 1989 and prior will be considered a potential Pioneer Club inductee. 

    SAAGNY Contemporaries

    SAAGNY Contemporaries are defined as current or past members who have volunteered with SAAGNY.

    The nominee shall have made significant and lasting contributions to SAAGNY and the Promotional Products industry and have served on a committee or on the Board of Directors of SAAGNY.  To be eligible, the nominee must have served as a committee or board volunteer and:

    • ·       Has not served on the SAAGNY Board of Directors for a minimum of three (3) years before nomination to the Hall of Fame; or
    • ·       Continues to serve on the Board of Directors but has an aggregate of 10 years’ volunteer service to SAAGNY as a committee or board member prior to nomination to the Hall of Fame
    • ·       Members of the Hall of Fame Committee are not eligible for nomination

    The Hall of Fame Committee will review all nominations and determine which category the nominee qualifies for.  Please return the nomination form and required items no later than Friday, July 1, 2022.  If you have any questions, please call the SAAGNY office or email Donna-Jean Plante (

    SAAGNY’s 40 Under Forty is a celebration of young promotional products professionals in the SAAGNY community. The process of selecting SAAGNY’s 40 Under Forty begins with nominations.

    SAAGNY’s 40 Under Forty honor is driven by nomination information that’s as complete and thorough as possible so our judges can see the whole picture of the person being nominated. We encourage the nominee to be involved in the nomination process so that all pertinent information is provided and facts are accurate. Self-nominations are encouraged. 

    Please take a few minutes and help us identify SAAGNY’s 40 Under Forty.

    DistributorCentral Chosen as the Premium Partner for SAAGNY’s Promotions East Event

    Promotions East is back! DistributorCentral is excited to be the Premium Partner of the show.

     DistributorCentral recently partnered with The Specialty Advertising Association of New York (SAAGNY) to become the Premium Partner of the Promotions East show at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City this October, 17th-19th.
