The Scholarship and Awards Committee has developed scholarship programs which are available to all of your personnel to attend professional training programs anywhere in the country. Applications are available in the restricted Member Center area.

LINDA ROBINSON SCHOLARSHIP

About Linda Robinson
Linda Robinson was a woman ahead of her time who entered the Specialty Advertising industry when only a handful of women were in the business. She took advantage of every opportunity offered by the industry to build a successful businesss, earning not only the respect of her peers but attracting many friends throughout the years. She played an important part in shaping the growth of SAAGNY, inluding a term as President and was well on her way in making an impact on the Board of PPAI. Linda was an outstanding individual endowed with vision, talent, imaginatino and her legacy to the industry is perpetuated by the Linda Robinson Scholarship Fund established by the SAAGNY Board of Directors in 1995 after her untimely death.

Eligibility:
The award is given to attend PPAI's President's Forum and includes tuition fee, airfare and hotel expenses. Attendance at the President's Forum is reserved for CEO's, COOs, Presidents, Vice Presidents or Executive Officers of companies that meet PPAI's criteria.

The recipient of the 2009 Linda Robinson Scholarship was Mary Ellen Pahlka-Nichols, MAS, Bodek and Rhodes.

PAST PRESIDENTS SCHOLARSHIPS

These scholarships are awarded in recognition of the dedication and contributions of the SAAGNY Past Presidents. This is your passport for an all expense paid trip to attend the education program of your choice. There will be two $1,500 Scholarships awarded in 2009. Scholarships must be used within a two year time period.

The recipients of the 2009 Past Presidents Scholarships are - Beverly Poitras, Maximum Exposure, Inc. and Carol Walkner, MAS, Jayline International.

DIAMOND AWARD

The Diamond Award program was introduced in 1999. The objectives of the program are:

• To stimulate high levels of imagination for selling promotional products
• To recognize and showcase the creative excellence of  SAAGNY Distributor member companies.

The Diamond Award Competition is open to all SAAGNY Distributor members. There is no fee to enter the competition. The programs entered must be implemented between January 1 and December 31 of the previous year. The Awards are presented at the SAAGNY General Meeting in April. The winners receive one award for their company and one award to present to their clients.

We are accepting entries for the 2010 competition - programs completed between January 1 and December 31, 2009. Submit your best promotion - the one that makes you shine!
