About the Session: Product safety remains one of the most significant issues facing our industry and ensuring compliance among the biggest challenges. During this session, you will learn how to get educated on various product risks, how to review products to identify potential risks, how to identify applicable regulatory requirements and what information is needed from the end-buyer to ensure compliance.

About the Presenter: Larry Whitney is Compliance Manager for Polyconcept North America (PCNA). In this role he provides guidance to PCNA’s business units (Leed’s, Bullet, Journal Books & Trimark) on issues related to Import and Product Safety regulations. Larry represents PCNA on the Quality Certification Alliance’s (QCA) Board of Directors and serves on QCA’s Compliance committee. He also is a member of PPAI’s Product Responsibility Action Group.

Larry is a Certified Supply Chain Professional, and has a Certificate in Product Safety Management from the John Cook School of Business at St. Louis Universities Center for Supply Chain Management. He has spoken on issues related to regulations governing imported products at events held by the National Association of Foreign Trade Zones, PPAI, AAFA, and the University of Pittsburgh Center for Legal Education.
